D.P. Bhatt Education Trust established Shri P.C. Bhatt Deaf & Dumb School (Shri P.C. Bhatt Mook- Badhir Vidhyalaya) on 4th December 1989 at Sojitra. The founder for this institution was Shri Pushkarbhai Chandulal Bhatt (P.C. Bhatt). He directed his daughter Pallavika Bhatt (Panna Bhatt) to start and develop the institution. As per the Government Law, any institution has to work without any grant or recognition for 5 years in its initial stages, Shri Pushkarbhai Bhatt and Pallavika (Panna) Bhatt made strong decision to work hard for the institution disregarding the increasing number of students and economic crisis, to be the only such institution in the Anand district, in Sojitra. Shri P.C. Bhatt invested his life-long savings for establishing this institution. The institution got government recognition in 1997-98. At last, despite of so many physical, mental and economical difficulties, Shri Pushkarbhai Bhatt successfully started the institution for deaf and dumb children of his town and as a result, the only institution in the Anand district got started at Sojitra, and now the door of the institution is widely open for all students around the Gujarat state.
